Significant deviations of voltage quality from its ideal level appear often: although the produced electical energy is of high quality, the energy provided to users is prone to changeable operating and transport conditions and degradation during transmission, which result in constant changes of voltage and pollution of any kind, and, in the case of inadequately dimensioned and functionally nonregulated distributive networks, in the significant and permanent aberation of voltage from the nominal value and quality.

Generally, the application of high quality devices for conditioning the network voltage which has properties of modern electronical voltage stabilizers with filter and protection functions installed, is the best solution to the problem in most cases of real installations. It is certainly the best technical solution and it is more lucrative than coping with problems only of specific parts of installation.
The regulation of voltage on motorways includes tunnel installations of uninterruptable power supply.
The purpose of voltage regulation is the conditioning of the network voltage – stabilizing the voltage to nominal value of 230V,50Hz and the protection from permanent and transient network over/under-voltage, flickers and other disturbances.
In tunnel installations of permanent voltage which are supplied by locally situated transformer units 20kV/400/230V,50Hz sources of back-up supply are UBN/UPS devices for non-stop supply – invertors with rechargeable batteries of defined autonomy. Regarding the properties of high-voltage network (permanently higher voltage, overvoltage, asymmetries), the experience has shown that it is necessary to use supply voltage stabilizers and additional overvoltage protection and filtering. After the usage of electronical voltage of stabilizers of type emReg N – that is, type switchgear-cubicle of voltage stabilization ELREM PRO-RRN (see Products ),the applied UBN/UPS devices were no longer prone to failures as results of their sensitivity to network voltage conditions (see Aplplication - voltage stabilization ) .

The regulation of voltage is applicable especially in users without adequate quality of network supply as well as in those whose network is not stiff enough when it comes to changeable consumption. For such consumers in industry which is situated in areas where there is a weak distribution network, the appliance of these devices is mostly the only good option. In installations of industry voltage which are supplied from locally situated transformer units 10/20kV/400/230V,50Hz with regard to the characteristics of high voltage network (permanently or occasionally elevated or lowered voltage, overvoltage, asymmetries) the experience has shown that it is necessary to apply supply voltage stabilizers and additional overvoltage protection and filtration of disturbances. After applying electronical voltage stabilizers type emReg N – that is, type distributor-switchgear-cubicle of voltage regulation ELREM PRO-RRN (see Application - voltage stabilization ) the consumer’s machines and devices are no longer exposed to failures as results of their sensitivity to network voltage conditions.
