ELREM Ltd produces systems of devices for tunnel ventilation. The system of ventilation operates according to a project.

             The system consists of measuring equipment for tunnel air quality (CO concetration, visibility, velocity and direction), one or more tunnel switching & regulation & distribution cabinets ELREM PRO-TVx (according to design) with the set of devices for tunnel ventilation control: control automatics (processor set PRO-TV or RCS substation), switchgear-contoler PRO-V) and corresponding switching equipment (selection switches, circuit-breakers, contactors etc.). Depending on the system of switching the electromotor(s) and the designed system of air-velocity control and regulation, there are a few options available: direct start/switching, star/delta start/switching, soft-start, regulation and soft-start (elReg V or other).

             Ventilation is controlled by a processor in multi-mode operation (automatically-locally/manually-remote) and in combined levelled + continuos power regulated operation. The local substation of the remote control system RCS  is integrated in the cabinet. The cabinet housing is made of aluminium or steel, coated with polyurethan or epoxy paint, according to colour standards. Cabinets are mounted in tunnel niches with fire-protective characteristics.

             The tunnel ventilation system with direct starting of ventilators and a regulation system of velocity control in three discrete levels has been implemented and it is in function in all the tunnels on the following motorways: Rijeka - Zagreb, Zagreb - Varaždin, Zagreb - Macelj and Zagreb - Split – Šestanovac-Ravča, and many other tunnels on state roads. The history of operation and maintenance diaries prove the system and cabinets as reliable and efficient.

             The cabinets comply/conform to valid Croatian standards and regulations: HRN EN50274:2002, HRN EN 60439-1:1999/A1:2004 and valid regulations. We issue production, testing and implementation certificates and declarations of conformity and quality after set-up and probe operation.
