ELREM Ltd produces a system of devices for tunnel lighting control and regulation of adaptation of lighting in interior zones and leaving zones of a tunnel. The system of lighting regulation operates according to the function L20 of luminance in approach zone of the tunnel according to recommendations CIE 88/90. The regulation is automatic and proportional so that the luminance of the adaptation zone of the tunnel is changed due to the change of outdoor luminance in the approach zone.

             The system consists of: light probe (luminance sensor) MPLx, with with current-loop output 4-20mA, one or more tunnel switching & regulation & distribution cabinets +Rn (according to design) with the set of devices for tunnel lighting regulation ELREM PRO of the respective tunnel zone (regulator elReg / emReg-HPS, processor set PRO-CT and cabinet contoler-processor PRO-R) and corresponding switching equipment (selection switches, circuit-breakers, contactors etc.).

             Lighting regulation is controlled by a processor in multi-mode operation (automatically-locally/manually-remote) and in combined leveled+continuos power regulated operation. The local substation of remote surveillance equipment  is integrated in the cabinet. The cabinet housing is made of aluminium or steel, coated with polyurethan or epoxy paint, according to colour standards. Cabinets are mounted in tunnel niches with fire-protective characteristics. Cabinets are realised in outlines: x=1(3 x 2 kW), x=2(3 x 4 kW), x=3(3 x 7 kW), x=4(3 x 12 kW ) or upon demand.

             The cabinets comply/conform to valid Croatian standards and regulations: HRN EN50274:2002, HRN EN 60439-1:1999/A1:2004, , HRN EN 61000-3-2:2001 i HRN EN 61000-3-3:1997., HRN EN 61000-6-2:2001,HRN EN 61000-6-4:2003 and valid regulations, and EU Directive 2004/108/EC. We issue production ,testing and implementation certificates and declarations of conformity and quality after set-up and probe operation.

             The tunnel lighting regulation system in question has been implemented and it is in function in all the tunnels on the following motorways: Rijeka - Zagreb, Zagreb - Varaždin, Zagreb - Macelj and Zagreb - Split – Šestanovac-Ravča, and many other tunnels on state roads.
