             Road lighting regulation swith and distribution cabinets ELREM PRO-1(2) are equipped with regulators of type elReg NAV-3. They are realized as  independent devices for switching, regulation of lighting intensity and distribution for road lighting installations with high pole with reflectors type of installation (16m for 6 reflectors and 24m for 14 reflectors), with lamp-gears (ballast and condensator) situated in the cabinet. Except for the road (motorway) lighting, the cabinet can supply other systems - active traffic signalization, video-surveillance etc.                                                                                                 Road lighting regulation swith and distribution cabinets ELREM PRO-3 are equipped with regulators of type elReg NAV-3 & elReg NAV-4. They are realized as  independent devices for switching, regulation of lighting intensity and distribution for road lighting installations with standard poles with luminaries type of installation, with lamp-gears (ballast) situated in the luminary and power-factor capacitance  situated in the cabinet. Except for the road (motorway) lighting, the cabinet can supply other systems-active traffic signalization, video-surveillance etc.

             The function of regulation of relative lighting flux intensity is continual in standard (extended range on demand) range 50%( 60% for metalhalide) -100% of relative intensity, or (on demand) with three discrete levels 100%,75%,50% with smooth level-changing with programmed intensity reduction intervals adjustable by the staff, all implemented in processor-controller PRO-CR with interactive man-machine interface-digital LCD and a functional programmable keyboard. There is a function of adjusting the relative maximal level of voltage as 100% level (option- limitMAX), thus conditioning the maximal supplied voltage to regulated installation to apropriate level, that is independent of mains overvoltage - which benefits to bulb lifespan tremendously.

             The regulator has controlled temperature with active power limitation; as well as overvoltage transients suppression by means of draining the excessive energy, very fast over - and short-current passive protection (ultra fast fuses-aR/gR characteristics), fault diagnostics and memory, with alarm signal (released by faulty condition or by triggering the highest level of protection) which initiates automatic bypass function controlled by cabinet processor PRO-CR (self-initiated and externaly triggered automatic bypass function). Similar protections are integrated into cabinet switching equipment with adequate capacity and selectivity. This very high degree of protection pays itself by securing the constant functionality and supply of the lighting installation (uninterrupted and continous operation of facility in case of damage and failure) and a high level of protection of cabinet and installation equipment.

             This type of regulation is not of neutral  respective voltage shape, but not affecting the power factor of lighting installation, except for the neccessity of repositioning of the compensation capacitances. The power factor compensation of pure inductive loads in regulated installation is obligatory infront of the regulator of type elReg, and thus realized as a three-phase compensation block.  Regulated output voltage is in shape similar to sinusoidal input voltage of the mains, affected with generated distortion in allowed intensity (EMC conformity).                                                                        Efficacy of the regulation is very good, better than 98%. Switching of the lighting can be various: switching in supply point, remote and locally by means of photo-relay ( Fs). In the remote control operation, the processor PRO - CRr is used.

             Effects of regulation are: up to 40% of saved energy and 50 to 100% of lamp maintenance cost. Durability and reliability of lighting installation is enhanced. This type of cabinet is the mostly used  type in operating installations at motorways in Croatia.

             The standard functions are:

             -switching on/off by:

                          -photo-relay (auxiliary equipment**)

                                  -acc. to control programme in the cabinet-controller PRO-CR with interactive man-                                                        machine interface-digital LCD and functional programable keyboard. Switch on/off function is                                   reserve mode of operation (acc. to annual sunrise/set table).

                 -relative intensity regulation of lighting:

                                  -PWM (pulse-width-modulated) regulation of voltage by series ac phase-control; uncoupled(star)

                                  -continual in standard range from 50% (60% for metalhalide) to 100% of relative intensity

                                  -reduced intensity operation intervals are programmable and adjustable                                                                             -user can adjust parameters by means of interactive man-machine interface of cabinet-                                              controller

             -control and protection of the regulator:

                                  -active control of temperature in case of overheating

                                  -transient overvoltage suppresion thru excessive energy drain

                                  -very fast passive overcurrent and short-circuit protection (ultra-fast thermal fuses aR/gR                                           characteristic)

             -control and protection of the cabinet:

                          -cabinet-controller PRO-CR with diagnostics and memory of faulty/trip states, operation-                                           hourcounters for each intensity

                                  - bypass funktion-bypass mode of operation in case of fault or protection tripping

                                  -controlled temperature-heating (100W with thermostat) and cooling (filtrated inlet of air and                   force - ventilated outlet with thermostat), alarm thermostat                                                                                                                       -active two-stage control of temperature in case of overheating (fault of cooling)

                                  -transient overvoltage suppresion thru excessive energy drain

                                  -fast overcurrent and short-circuit protection, selectivity with distribution fuses

                                  -protection system TN-C

                 - saveENERGY-1 = saved energy is calculated by cabinet-controler on the basis of operation-hour                                                                counters and level of regulation(% of unregulated energy)

                 - the system of protection is made according to design/demand( differetial current relays,magnetic-termic                     circuit-breakers,thermic fuses with disconnecting bases etc)

             The cabinets conform to valid Croatian standards and regulations: HRN EN 50274:2002, HRN EN 60439-1:1999/A1:2004,HRN EN 60947-4-3:2005, HRN EN 61000-3-2:2001 i HRN EN 61000-3-3:1997, valid regulations and EU Directive 2004/108/EC. We issue production, testing and implementation certificates and declarations of conformity and quality after set-up and probe operation.
